Charm; A word that signifies magic
Magic that personifies beauty and attraction
Deep down in our minds, we tend to believe that all good is in the day
Not realizing that it’s impossible to wake up to a sunrise unless you have lived through the dead-end
of the night
Gazing at the stars that take the limelight until it’s time to let their luminescence grow faint
Darkness is defined to be scary and as a milestone, you don’t want to trespass by
The dark nourishes sorrows, a feeling of fright,
A feeling of pessimism mixed with an ounce of hopelessness.
We have grown to loath the so-called bad
The relativity of the bad speaking volumes of insecurity
Insecurity of being disdained, unheard or worse insignificant…
It’s a game of perspective as always,
It’s contradictory to think that the dark that brings grief to you might bring relief to me
That your cluelessness of directions paves new ways for me
that the chaos you urge for craves for the silence in me that the dark that brings a frown to our face sets the stage for the fireflies who escape the shade
Breathing through the chills of reality on a cold night
Deciphering what the midnight blues could possibly be trying to convey
It’s unfair to define a cadence to be perfect
when the very word perfect has dissimilar meanings in our respective dictionaries
Worldly desires may not always be the essential ingredient for the magical potion of charm
For what’s charming today may lose its shine and perish
And what’s meant to be dear shall never lose its charm. …
